BAHRAIN FORT Well, here are a few pics that I took during our trip to the Bahrain Fort. There were no signs to tell us what the fort was originally used for or what the rooms inside were used for, but we had a wonderful time exploring and talking about how tough it must have been to live back then. Some of the earliest parts of the structure were built around 2800 BC and the last parts were finished in the 16th century. The later part of the structure was built by the Portuguese when they invaded the island and built several forts to protect their trade route.
