All of these pics are of the tent cities that the Kuwait people live in during the winter part of the year. They were asked to do this by the Amir so that they would remember their heritage. I know that the pics are not real good, but hopefully you can find some way to enlarge them so that you can get a good look. The tents are not much to look at from the outside, but I have heard that they can be really luxurious on the inside. Some of them even have satelite dishes so that they will not miss their favorite programs. And four-wheelers and dirt bikes become something of a commonly seen item, as they will ride them anywhere and everywhere, even on the highway. One of the last pics will show you the moving grocers that bring their goods out to the tents. You just drive up and tell them what you need, they run in and get it for you. And don't forget to look for the MacDonald's in one of the pics. Can't be to far from our favorite fast food......lol. And there is also a pic showing a playground they set up for all the kids. I am hoping eventually to make friends with someone that can get me an invite to one of the tents. I would love to see the inside. My understanding is that it is not what we think of as rugged, but layered with carpets, pillows, and a type of couch that is so light weight that one man can carry it. Ok, if i get more info, I will pass it on.
